Heavy Storm claims 10 lives in Swat

The high intentsity storm ,hitting the Swat at about 4 pm,smashed sign boards,fell trees.walls and roofs and uprrooted electricity pools in deffrent parts.Nekpikhel in lower swat and Sibojni,Shamezai areas in uper Swat are badly effected.10 people died and 60 wounded in rain and storm related incidents in the district.

The storm blowing with a speed of 200 km per hour also caused heavy damages to buildings and ifrastruture.

The gale caused shedding almost comletely apple ,peach and apricot trees.the orchards are full of fallen fruits. 80 per cent of the plain areas are orchards and main cash crop of the valley.The voilent storm that continued for all most half an hour deprived farmers of their lone source of income. Except Mingawara and saidu the whole of Swat is in the dark for the last two days .
